From Pines to Castles

BOOK TWO
Chapter Twenty-One                                                     21

Sky hadn’t lied. He did consummate the marriage as soon as it was possible to run away from their guests. It was quick, but always so tender and passionate. This time, he had fun using the “Mrs Hawthorne” appellation for anything and everything, so a dialogue was present during the whole lovemaking, which was a first for them. After a short nap, they each took a quick shower and she dressed back into her first layer of wedding dress and Sky didn’t wear the Celtic jacket. His hair was wet and curly, and her hair was slightly up when they went back to join their guest who had started to party. They noticed that the entrance tunnel was gone and, the night was warm and showed no sign of rain. Guests could sit, lie about in the lounging chairs or dance under the stars. The evening was precious with both of them going around and talking to each guest. They also both observed and looked at each other often, smiling or giving each other little waves or other endearing signs. Everyone could see how in love they were. The photographer followed them around very discreetly and took shots of them in their natural state. Sky didn’t want a photoshoot, didn’t want to pose and, for the first time, wanted pictures of him embracing his love, kissing her and touching her tenderly. It was a first. He had always refused to be shown that way before.

Maeva danced with all the special male guests, so with Tom Cruise, Ben Afleck, and some other stars and directors whose names she could not remember. Sky danced with their wives and girlfriends and with some of his dearest co-stars. Maeva and Sky almost never took their eyes from each other. Sky stayed with his family for a long while and so did Maeva. She decided to invite the kids to dance with her. Sky did the same. They had a blast for a while dancing with nieces, nephews and her grandchildren.  After a few hours of fun, they had one last dance together. And kissing passionately, they just ran away together towards the castle, waiving Goodbyes and Thank yous.  That night they undressed and got into the blankets. Maeva positioned herself higher on the pillow and cradled his head on her bosom. He wrapped his arms around her whole body, or so it seemed to her. She kissed his head, his forehead, his cheeks, eyelids, nose and, mouth tenderly. They both said “I love you” at the same time. Sky was completely exhausted. She just looked at him tenderly as he started to breathe slowly and deeply. He had these long straight lashes, some freckles on the bridge of his nose and cheeks. She couldn’t believe that such a beautiful man, inside and out, was in love with her. Strangely, she didn’t feel insecure about it. Simply amazed.

The more she saw him interacting with others, the more she realized he was not at all comfortable with social encounters. He seemed to always need to put on his celebrity persona. She suspected he was not totally comfortable being himself. She observed he was somewhat too naïve for his degree of maturity. She saw this increasingly. This was perplexing as, in other situations, he was perfectly confident and very wary of people that may be abusing his kindness. She often endearingly called him her man-child in her thoughts. She drifted to dreams of sea and sky.

The next day was the post-wedding early brunch and the departures. At 1 pm, Maeva, Sky, her children and grand-children as well as the dogs, flew to Malibu by private charter. Most were sleeping during the long flight. Even the children were still exhausted from all the excitement and the late night. Sky, Maeva and the dogs were in the back part of the plane in their special seats. They had a great sleep the night before, so they were more in a chatting mood. Obviously, they had a lot to say about the wedding and how beautiful it was but mostly, they had huge appreciations to present to each other about their start as husband and wife. Maeva could still not believe how Sky found such perfect jewelry to go with a dress he hadn’t seen.

“Obviously, Jess helped. She didn’t describe it but mentioned the color and she was with me when I went to the jeweler. The set was ordered a while back as I already knew what color the pearls should be. I saw some blue-gray pearls some time ago in Manila. I was told they were unique in their color and that I probably would not find anything like that again. Something to do with a climatic event. I purchased the lot and put them in my safe. When I showed them to Jess, she said the color was perfect, so I brought them to the jeweler who proposed different settings and the five triangular one of kind diamonds. That’s how they came to be.”

“I don’t know what to say. You know that I was never given so many expensive gifts. And the real estate… How can I ever thank you? It’s too much, Sky. And I don’t need it. I only want and need you.”, she kissed him. He reclined their adjoined seats and kissed her passionately, almost getting on top of her. She giggled softly.

“Oh, big boy! I am not sure we should do this here.”, Maeva said. He returned to his seat, smiling.

“Well, there is no need to repay me. From now on, everything I have is ours.”, he smiled and kissed her again. “Everything you had, and you will have to your name, will always be yours. I do not want you to be in trouble if something happens to me. I have asked my lawyer to draw up a will and power of attorney in your name.”

“You are always so generous, but there was no need to hurry.”, she said.  He pouted somewhat and kissed her nose lightly.

“With all the travelling I do, I believe it is urgent to get it done. Please don’t read into this anything else but concern for you, my love.”.  Maeva placed her face into his neck and gave him small kisses. He moaned.
“I will need a blanket.”, he said.

Maeva looked down at his groin and, he was absolutely right. She smiled at him, ran her hand over the bulge in his jeans and reached behind her back where she had folded a blanket for more back support. She laid the blanket on both of them, slipped her hand under it and closed her eyes, feigning deep sleep.

“You are not playing fair, Mrs. Hawthorne.”, he groaned again. He took out his phone from his pocket and pressed a button. Maeva heard the door to their private space, lock. She opened her eyes wide.

“I didn’t know this could be done!”, she was pleasantly surprised. She continued caressing him over his jeans and thought that there was nothing stopping her from unzipping him, which she did. His member was throbbing and warm through his briefs. She reached under the briefs and felt the ever so soft, slightly humid skin of his shaft and could even feel it throbbing in her hand. She squeezed a little and then moved her hand slowly up and down, feeling his breathing accelerate. He took her head in his hand and brought her to him, kissing her hard, his mouth wet with the excess salivation brought by the excitement. He was so sexy, so male, she felt herself melting from the masculine heat he gave out.

“Get on me.”, he ordered huskily. She obeyed. Was she ever happy she chose to wear a dress. He almost ripped off her panties. They both moaned when he entered her. She, feeling the fulness in her and he, feeling the wet tight softness of her insides. With both his hands, he drew her face to his and almost ate her mouth eagerly sucking at her lips and her tongue. He then put both his hands on her buttocks and rammed her even further onto him. It was good his mouth was still over hers as it muffled the scream she let go when she felt him going deep enough to touch the entry to her womb. That alone, set her off on a multi-organism course. He felt her squeezing his member with her vagina walls and he came with uncontrollable thrushes into her. Totally spent, they stayed in this position in each other’s arms, until they could regain enough strength to rearrange themselves. A few minutes later, Maeva took her bag and fetched some wipes and tissues and cleaned herself as she got off him. She then used a tissue and another wipe on him. She didn’t think she ever saw so much semen in one lovemaking session. It was not the first time she noticed this with Sky. He just let her go about cleaning him up with an expression of beatitude on his face. When it was done, she kissed him tenderly, opened his shirt a little more and placed her face on his hairy chest. She brought the blanket over both of them and they slept deeply for the rest of the trip.

Maeva had never even seen pictures of the Malibu house. The only thing she knew about it was that it had its caretakers and cook and that it was large enough to lodge a rugby team. They had decided to let the guests get there before they would. Sky wanted to bring Maeva to a special restaurant. It was, after all, their honeymoon. There were a few cars at the hangar when the plane landed, some bringing her family and all the luggage to the mansion. Sky’s Ferrari was there waiting for them to take off together. She saw that he was bringing sweatshirts for them. He drove her along the Californian coast where she could see the sun slowly setting down and hear the sound of the waves breaking on the cliffs. He stopped the car at a simple seafood shack. It had a pier held balcony where a table and chairs had been installed for them.  When they sat down, the chef came to have a chat with Sky who introduced him to her. The chef made her choose a wine and presented her with the menu although he recommended the chef’s platter for two. Maeva looked at Sky and he said it would suit him very well. She chose a white wine mentioning she didn’t like dry wines and the chef said he would check. Sky was sitting in front of her, close enough for their hands to touch each other, which they did instinctively. They both noticed they had had used the hands with their wedding rings on and that brought a huge smile to their faces.

“This is a beautiful place, Mr Hawthorne.”

“You deserve beautiful things Mrs Hawthorne.”

“Thank you Mr Hawthorne.”, and the game continued with a few more rounds of Mr and Mrs Hawthorne.
The place was beautiful and the food was awesome. It was one of these places that served a variety of seafood, potatoes and corn of the cob cooked together with spices in a pail and, when ready, they just empties the whole seafood boil bucket in the middle of a wooden plank of the table.  They ate copiously. Maeva was always amazed at the quantity of food Sky ate in one meal.

After supper, they walked on the shore holding hands. Maeva asked if he had rented out the restaurant and its beach. Sky said it was not very expensive to do so and, when it was off season or in the beginning of the week, it assured the owners a fixed amount that they welcomed. The sun was almost disappearing under the sea and coolness was settling in. There was a bench surrounded by rocks at the end of the restaurant’s private shore. Sky sat on the bench and dragged her to him. She sat on him, straddling him and put her arms around his neck, nestling her head under his chin. He wrapped his arms around her, put their sweatshirts over her and held her close. They remained that way for a long time, not talking, just content to be with each other. Sky watched the moon shining on the horizon, on the waves. It reminded him of the wedding and their vows. Becoming a husband to this wonderful woman. He had not realized before, that being in a relationship with a woman a little older in age was probably was he needed. But then again, it was probably the fact that this woman was Maeva. She was one of a kind. He was also thankful they had been friends first and that love and desire had born from the ease they felt with each other. So many times, they were together and did not feel the need to speak. They simply looked at each other with loving smiles and were content. It was getting dark now and he knew they had to return to the car, but it was so hard to end perfect moments like this. He hoped she would be able to follow him on location. He didn’t want to leave her behind. There were only two weeks left before he had to work.

“My love? We need to leave. Reality catches up with us sometimes…”. Maeva lifted her head from him and looked into his beautiful eyes. The darker skies were making his eyes brown. He gave her a sweatshirt and helped her slip it on.

“Sadly, it is catching up with us way too quickly.”, she said, kissing him tenderly. She got up and dragged him up. He picked her up in his arms, saying he needed to start training. She didn’t complain. What a beautiful feeling it was to have him carry her.

This was another surprise: It was her first time seeing the Malibu mansion. When she saw it from the other side of the lake, it looked like an immense glass structure. There were windows from top to bottom. From the front entrance, the house looked like any other. Only the second floor was apparent, but he descended the car to a small circling entrance below. He pressed a button and the garage door opened to a huge garage with many cars parked in a circle.

“Now, you see my car collection. Most cars are here in California because the weather is so good. But as I rarely come, they are mostly unused. Once we see where we spend most of our time, I will clean up my collection.”.

Maeva was more interested in the house than the cars.
“Will you give me a tour of the place?”, she asked.

“That is a must, my love. Would you mind, I do this tomorrow? I would like to greet your family, do some training and, go to bed.”, he said.

She agreed naturally. She knew he had made her a priority for all his off time and that his work schedule was slowly creeping back. They took an elevator to the top floor. The doors opened in a circular open area where the kitchen, dining room and living shared an enormous space. The floor was in white terra cotta, the wall, plain white, some white eclectic style couches were assembled around Arabic wool carpets forming many meeting areas, all facing the wall to wall windows. In the middle of the area was a black forged iron circular fireplace with Arabic style dark brown leather cushions ornate with gold, thrown about on the ground. The rest of the decor was mainly white. In the kitchen, also all white, there were only bottom cupboards. The white tiled wall had a few shelves holding white plate sets, bowls and more. The sink, black, was surrounded by a white marble counter. The light fixtures and all the hardware were shiny gold, as were the cupboard’s door handles. The lights gave out a golden hue that accentuated the décor perfectly. It all gave a charming, calming effect, that was also extremely luxurious in appearance. The differences in couches’ styles’ seemed to accentuate the plain white color theme.

After some introductions and much chatting over coffee and tea, Sky suggested that he show Maeva the bedroom as he was going to take his leave to go training. Everyone else had already been shown their bedrooms and had time the put away their luggage. Sky took Maeva to a corner of the huge room where she just noticed there was a spiral staircase. It was in a dark corner and could hardly be seen unless you opened the light meant for it. She went up with Sky. She found it strange as she had not really noticed there was a third floor.

The top floor was a complete circle without any exterior walls. Only wall to wall windows all around. The huge white bed was in the middle, and it settled upon a box of walls as a makeshift headboard. The wall box contained an open closet and a fully equipped restroom behind it. Sky let Maeva roam around the room and watched her.

“It’s beautiful and kind of unreal.”, she stopped in front of the bed. “Who else slept in this bed?”, she asked.
“No one.”, Sky said with a smile.

“You mean no one but you?”, she reprised.

“No, I mean no one. I gave away the other one and ordered a brand new one for us. There were other women that slept in the other bed. I didn’t want you to sleep where they had slept. I didn’t want us to make love on a used bed. We need to own it completely.”, he said.

“Thank you, my love.”, Maeva went to him and kissed him. “I can’t help but wonder who you brought here?”, she said. He took her in his arms and stroked her hair tenderly.

“Caroline stayed one night, but nothing happened between us as I trained hard and was overtired and hurting. I also slept in this bed with both my nephews as they were frightened to sleep alone in a downstairs bedroom, and my parents used this room when they came for a vacation while I was away on location in Europe. That’s it my love. I bought this place as I thought I would be filming here often. Finally, it didn’t happen so much.”, Sky was well at ease discussing this. Maeva looked at him and smiled. She mouthed a “Thank you”, lovingly. She went to the stairs.

“Where is your training area?”, she was curious.

“Behind the garage. It is in fact right under the infinity pool.”, he went to the closet to change for his training.

Maeva went down to join her family. She noticed the young ones were not around. She heard some laughter and giggling from outside and noticed they were in the pool. Her son was with them. The others were gathered in a seating area and were talking away. She hadn’t had a serious chat with any of her family since she met Sky. They talked here and there on the phone, but never for very long. They had many questions. They also wanted to know if they would see her more often. She mentioned that they had a place in England and recently, a lake house up North. She also informed them that she would try to follow him on location, if possible. He had a movie to start next week but she didn’t know yet where it would be and for how long. She did want to go with him if possible as she knew there were places, she would not be able to go. For example, going to Russia, the Arab Emirates and other such countries would not provide her with a Visa. The following days gave way to much laughter and joy. Sky was so sweet with everyone but especially with the young ones. He took them to different fun places he knew about. They could also just relax around the swimming pool and chat. Maeva spent half her time with her children and the other half with Sky and the children. Halfway through the week, Sky announced her was leaving soon and would be on location at Long Cross Studio. Maeve knew this meant he would be close to home in the U.K. This meant she would be going back with him. Would she be with him in his trailer or at the house, she didn’t have yet, but she was adamant there were times she would spend months on end without seeing him.

The day of Goodbyes came, and they all had different flights according to what they could get. Sky offered them all First-Class seats. Maeva and Sky were planned to leave by charter plane the next day. They only had their luggage to take care of as the caretakers and cook would take care of closing the mansion. Their last night in Malibu was spent walking around the lake, having a glass of wine around the fireplace and a magnificent night of lovemaking. They spent the duration of the flight sleeping it out in their special lounger seats, cuddled together under a soft blanket. No games this time. They had no energy left in them. Maeva had been very tired lately. Her appetite was not great either. She didn’t really mind as she always carried too much weight. Sky loved her curves, but she knew she was a little too round. She was still eating well but had no appetite for heavy meals, ate more raw veggies and fruits. Also drank a lot of water.

Sky noticed Maeva looked tired. She also seemed to not want to eat any meat or fish suddenly. He knew she found herself too heavy, too well-rounded so he let her be, but he sincerely loved how she was shaped and hope she was not dieting. He loved shapely women. They could be muscle heavy, like body builders or shaped with large breasts and buttocks, he was attracted to both equally. Still, he was concerned about her. He caressed her face, she stirred. He closed his eyes and immediately started snoring.

Everyone, including the dogs, were happy to be back home in the UK. The dogs ran out to the dog park and Maeva went first to look at the garden. It had grown and many shrubs where not in full bloom. She identified some she would like to collect for the house later. Sky joined her.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”, he voiced showed happiness at being back.

“Terribly beautiful. I am happy to be back here with you. I need a glass of water.”, she said and went in the direction of the front door. Sky stopped her, smiled and picked her up.

“Mrs Hawthorne, don’t you know I need to carry you over the threshold?”

“Oh, Mr Hawthorne. I believe I completely forgot about that.”, she giggled away.

“I didn’t, Mrs Hawthorne.”, and he kissed her all the while looking at where he was going.

“Here we go, Mrs Hawthorne. He put her down on their bed.”

“Is this part of the tradition also Mr Hawthorne? To put me on the conjugal bed?”, she asked with an innocent voice and her index finger in her pouting mouth. Sky made a “Oh my God!” type face.

“You are so sexy Mrs Hawthorne, even when you are playacting.”, he towered over her and bent down slowly in front of her until his face was equal height to hers. He slowly approached his face to hers, keeping his eyes in hers and kissed her, softly.

“I need to go train a little, my love. I have been very loose and am not as fit as I should be at this stage and I am concerned. Would you mind?”

“I thought you had something else in mind, but no worries. I have had a few ideas I need to type in. I love you, whatever you do, wherever you are.”, Maeva smiled and kissed him back tenderly. Sky hugged her, burrowed his face in her neck, kissed her again and left to his home gym.

Maeva went to see what the dogs were doing. They really seemed to be enjoying home, running around and rolling on the grass. She went to her tote bag and took out her computer, installed it on the kitchen island in her usual spot, and started writing. Two hours or so had passed and the sun was slowly descending to the horizon line. The dogs were waiting at the door for their last meal of the day, which she served and let them in. They all ate hungrily and went to their beds and laid down, ready for their evening naps. Maeva decided to end the writing there and to take her shower and change into her PJs. She felt like drinking a tea while watching tele, which she had not done in like forever.
She was all set on the couch when her phone beeped.

Sky : I’m done. Will take a shower and be down.

Maeva: OK my love. Watching tele with tea.

The following days were just as pleasant as ever. Everyday, Sky trained for his usual four hours in the afternoon. Maeva wrote and walked in the garden, bringing back new blossoms everyday. Came the day when Sky announced he would leave for Long Cross Studios on the following Monday. Yvonne already knew what to prepare and pack for Sky, but Maeva asked to be shown so she would be able to do it at other times. Yvonne agreed, but reiterated she really didn’t mind doing it. It had been her job for quite a few years now.

« Don’t worry Yvonne, you will probably be doing Sky’s and mine. I just need to know in case I need to do it when you are not around.”, she smiled. Yvonne felt better hearing this. After the luggage was done, she prepared a few things for the weekend and left, asking Maeva when she would need her next week. Maeva didn’t know what to answer. She didn’t really need her, but she didn’t know if she could just let her off for the week. She said she would think about it and text her.

Sky was not please to leave on Monday, but it was planned. At least he wouldn’t be too far and that was good. He heard Maeva answering Yvonne and he figured she would not need her around as she was home all day. He also liked to have some alone time when he was off. He would tell Maeva that she could do as she wished. Yvonne was paid a fee per year anyways. She would probably enjoy a week off.

Sky had prepared a few outings for the weekend. Maeva enjoyed the time with him, but she could see his head was already at work. He was having Zoom conversations with many producers, directors, costume designers and many more. She felt he was already inhabiting his new persona. When Monday morning came, he had already informed Maeva he would be leaving early, right after his fasted training. She was up waiting for him to come back from his run. She felt like crying but did not. She was not going to do anything to jeopardize his career. The weekend had been full of passionate kisses, little corner smiles and sweet looks of his and she had been able to fill her brain of all he was, his strong manly shape, his beautiful chiseled face, his especially beautifully shaped lips and their lovemaking had a special “desperate” drive to it. She knew she shouldn’t be sad, as he was hers and she was his. When he came down from his shower, he was dressed in motorcycle wear. He took her in his arms.

“I almost wished you would be asleep. This is making it so much harder for me to leave.”, he looked into her eyes, and kissed her slowly, as if he was trying to imprint in his brain the sensation of her lips on his and the taste of her tongue. “I love you Mrs. Hawthorne. It is a truly happy and changed man that is going to work this morning. I will text, call, Facetime, whenever I can.”, and he left. She peeked in the bay window, saw him put his helmet on, straddle his motorcycle and off he went.

Sky had mixed feelings on the way to work that morning. He was always elated by a new project, always looking to give all he could for its successful completion. For the first time in his whole career, he went to work with the obvious hope of his first break. A break meant seeing Maeva, which was all he lived for right now. He wondered how that would, or if it would, affect his work. He was proud of how his life turned out. He thought he would never make it through the rut he dug for himself in his twenties. He knew he was young and immature. He knew he was also a “special” individual. It was never named. Only his parents, and maybe his brother knew, but he had been diagnosed as a highly functional “Asperger”. A type of autism. He never needed to attend a special class and was very successful at school, but he had trouble integrating socially. It was said it was his size, as he was chubby when he was young. It was more than that. He knew, his parents knew. No one talked about it. He didn’t mention it to Maeva. He was not sure, it was needed. He kind of grew out of it or simply presented as a part of his nerdiness.

He was now a married man. He had not looked at the tabloids or social media. He had asked Jess to wait until the “honeymoon” phase was over. If there was a problem, Jess would bring it up, but everything seemed to be quiet. The morning air was fresh, and he had to follow a curvy road to get to the studio. He was surrounded by nature, and he loved to ride his Dukati this way. Not a care in the world.
